2005- European Sampler

This year we decided to take just a sample of what Europe has to offer.
I guess I didn't download all of my pictures, so I will just list some of the highlights:

London, England:
- Double Decker buses
- Lion King on Broadway
- The Queens birthday celebration. We saw all of the royal family and it was pretty neat to see how the whole city comes together dressed in their finest hats and gowns to wish her a happy birthday. I did have this picture..
Amsterdam:
- rained the whole time we were there
- red light district- hookers have insurance :)
- pot is legal and they have "coffee shops"---they don't sell coffee
- cute little city but not really family friendly

Germany:
- Black Forest....cuckoo clocks anyone?
-Cologne- largest Gothic church in Germany
-Cruised on the Rhine River- I could so see myself living here one day nestled cozy in a huge castle
- Heidelberg- would have been nice if anything was opened. We went on a Sunday morning and nothing opened until afternoon.

Switzerland:
- Lucerne- big shopping town
- Swiss Folklore Dinner- Chadd picked to try out blowing the Alporn
- Climbing Mount Pilatus- legend has it that Pontis Pilate's soul is at peak of the mountain

France
-Paris- dirty during the day, beautiful at night
- Eiffel Tower- Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were engaged at the top the same night we were at the top!
- Versailles
- driving through the tunnel where Princess Diana died
-true Paris Cabaret show...clothes optional :)

- When i can locate any of my pictures i will post them.
